Drinking enough water is considered the simplest way to detoxify the body after Tet, but it is necessary to understand that water is not a panacea for instant detoxification, but it is an essential environment for all metabolic processes.

After Tet, when the body accumulates a lot of salt and sugar, drinking enough water helps increase blood flow through the kidneys, promotes the process of filtration and excretion through urine. At the same time, water also supports bowel movements, reduces constipation - a condition that can occur due to eating less green vegetables during Tet.

Regarding water intake, adults should drink an average of 30–35 ml/kg of weight per day, equivalent to about 1.5 - 2.5 liters of water/day depending on physical condition. However, instead of drinking profusely, it is necessary to divide it into many times, starting with a glass of warm water in the morning to activate the digestive system.

During the day, you should maintain a regular drinking habit every 1-2 hours, even when you don't feel thirsty, because thirstyness often appears when the body is slightly dehydrated.

In addition to filtered water, you can add water from low-sugar fruits, fresh coconut water or unsweetened herbal tea. Some people choose to add lemon or a few slices of ginger to warm water to enhance flavor and support digestion. It is necessary to limit sugary drinks, energy drinks or coffee too much because they can increase diuretics and cause relative dehydration.

Drinking enough water needs to be combined with a diet rich in fiber, reducing salt and maintaining light exercise such as walking and yoga.

When the body is provided with enough water, the skin will improve, fatigue will decrease and the metabolism process will gradually return to a balanced state.

Thus, detoxifying the body after Tet is not an extreme measure, but starts from a simple but sustainable habit: drinking water correctly and enough every day.
