On June 3, actor Lee Je Hoon participated in KBS 1TV's "Good Morning" program, to promote the new movie "Big Deal".
On live, he attracted attention when he frankly shared his views on marriage and his dreams as an actor.
The appearance of young actors on a morning live TV show is relatively rare in Korea. When the show started, Lee Je Hoon expressed his excitement: "I rarely get the opportunity to participate in a live broadcast, so this moment is like a dream."
During the broadcast, Lee Je Hoon shared about his personal journey, from a technical student to an actor.
Lee Je Hoon said that he has nurtured his dream of acting since he was a child, through renting tapes and watching them regularly. Because his family objected, he temporarily put his dream aside and studied at a technical school.
But in his third year of high school, Lee Je Hoon felt depressed and began thinking seriously about his future before enlisting. Therefore, he joined a theater troupe in Daehangno to learn acting.
However, this path is not easy. Lee Je Hoon recounted the time he was suddenly dropped from the lead role of a play for the reason of "not being qualified enough".
After that, Lee Je Hoon was suggested to play a small role as an 80 year old man. Although he was shocked by being eliminated, he still accepted the offer and tried his best.
The movie Big Deal that Lee Je Hoon starred in focuses on Korean drinking culture. But the actor admitted that he was not a good person at drinking and was very drunk.
Also on the show, veteran actor Lee Kwang Ki asked Lee Je Hoon about his marriage plans. The star born in 1984 answered seriously: "Isn't it the most important goal, like choosing a project. I also want to meet a good partner like the daughter of a seniors".
Lee Kwang Ki's daughter, Lee Yeon Ji, born in 1999, is an art director and painting studio owner. She announced her marriage to football player Jung Woo Young last month.
At the end of the broadcast, Lee Je Hoon shared: "My biggest goal as an actor is to be remembered by the audience as a good actor, even after 30 - 40 years".
He also humorously talked about his desire to act in KBS's drama, making the whole hall laugh.
I have never had the opportunity to act in a KBS drama. If the KBS president is watching this show, I really want to participate. Please contact me.
If I was invited to act in a KBS drama, I would definitely be back on the Morning Here show once more, Lee Je Hoon said.
