According to Koreaboo, SM Entertainment recently sent invitations to all artists who have collaborated with them to attend the concert "SMTOWN Live 2025" in Seoul (Korea).
This has led many to expect SM to invite Jessica Jung - a former member of SNSD. However, this is unlikely to happen as Jessica has not left the company peacefully. She once posted on Weibo about being forced to leave SNSD by the members and the company.
Since then, Jessica and the SNSD members no longer interact on social media. During events, when asked, both Jessica and the SNSD members often choose to avoid it.
In early 2024, during a livestream with fans, member Hyoyeon publicly mentioned Jessica Jung's name. Although she only repeated a fan's comment, SNSD's Hyoyeon's openness in mentioning Jessica's name also made many people hope that the group would reunite in the near future.

However, the reunion of the 9 SNSD members at "SMTOWN Live 2025" also seems impossible when Taeyeon announced that she will not participate in this concert. In a livestream, the SNSD leader was quite upset: "I don't think I will attend the "SMTOWN Live 2025" concert. Recently, I have not had a happy conversation with the company. I don't understand why they haven't removed my name from the poster, I don't know what their plans are." This statement by the SNSD leader sparked rumors of discord between her and the company.
SNSD, also known as Girls' Generation, was founded in 2007 by SM Entertainment. The group initially consisted of 9 members and "made waves" with a series of national hits such as: "Gee", "The Boy", "Into the new world"... With their success and widespread coverage, SNSD was dubbed the "national girl group" of Korea. In 2014, at the peak of her career, Jessica suddenly announced that she was forced to leave the group.

After leaving the group, Jessica focused on her fashion design business and signed with Coridel Entertainment (2016) to continue her music career. However, her music career was not very prominent after leaving the group. In 2022, she was in the Top 10 winners of the show "Sister Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves Season 3" and debuted in a music group in China.
