On December 9, the movie "Flip Side 8: Vong Tay Nang" officially started filming on the first day in Ninh Thuan.
Director Ly Hai shared: “Today, December 9, Ly Hai and the crew officially started filming "Flip Side 8: Vong Tay Nang". I hope everything goes smoothly. I also hope that when the film is released on April 30, 2025, it will be loved by the audience like the previous parts.”
He also revealed that the preparation and pre-production process for the film was very difficult and had to take place two months earlier than the previous parts.
The filmmaker said: “This year, Lat mat 8 has to be prepared earlier. The reason is that in addition to acting, the actors also need to know how to dance and sing. After the casting process, you have basic knowledge of dancing and singing, I have to ask the choreographer to give you more instructions. You have to practice smoothly so that the filming set doesn’t take much time.
You guys have to practice your lines, act, sing and dance, so it's much harder. At the same time, Ly Hai also has to run back and forth, choose the scene and check the progress of the rehearsals and pre-production very carefully with all the actors. Especially the actors who are acting in a movie for the first time. So the preparation work this time is much harder than every year."
Besides, Ly Hai also hopes that this will continue to be a film that touches the hearts of viewers. He does not limit himself to certain limits but continues to try new genres, a brand new cast has been carefully cast.
The filmmaker also thanked his wife Minh Ha for being the one who fueled and supported him throughout his journey of conquering art.
Ly Hai revealed that this work is not of a single genre like the previous parts, but is a mixture of many elements from family affection, action, humor and music, which accounts for 30% of the film. At the same time, Ly Hai also shared that this is a project that gathers a record-breaking cast.
