In the report sent to the National Assembly on the results of implementing Resolution 41/2021/QH15 and Resolution 109/2023/QH15, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) said that in 2024, the Ministry issued an inspection plan, including inspection content at 24 Departments of Education and Training on "implementation of secondary education tasks, implementation of the 2018 General Education Program, selection of textbooks, extra teaching and learning".
In 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued an inspection plan, including inspections at 24 Departments of Education and Training (Quang Ngai, Bac Lieu, Hung Yen, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Binh Phuoc, Quang Binh, Ninh Thuan, Kon Tum, Binh Dinh, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Hau Giang, Son La, Bac Kan, Nam Dinh, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Dien Bien, Ha Nam, Hai Phong, Dong Thap, Quang Ngai, Can Tho).
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training also conducted specialized inspections of a number of higher education institutions; implemented a plan to inspect and examine the 2024 high school graduation exam in the preparation, invigilation, and grading stages.
The Ministry also inspected the implementation of tasks for the 2023-2024 school year at 4 Departments of Education and Training (Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Vinh Long, Can Tho) and prepared to issue inspection conclusions of the Departments of Education and Training. At the same time, the Ministry organized inspections and examinations of the national excellent student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year at the examination councils, exam grading, and exam review; national science and technology exams for high school students; and inspected the admission to grade 10 of the 2 Departments of Education and Training of Hanoi and Hai Phong.
Regarding the issue of extra teaching and learning, the Ministry of Education and Training said that the management of extra teaching and learning activities in localities is currently facing many difficulties and problems.
The reason for the limitation was pointed out by the Ministry of Education and Training as the amendment, supplement or replacement of Circular No. 17/2021/TT-BGDDT dated May 16, 2012 regulating extra teaching and learning did not meet the conditions for implementation, so the management of extra teaching and learning activities in localities still encountered difficulties.
Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Training continues to propose to include extra teaching and learning activities in the list of conditional business lines, as a basis for amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 17/2012/TT-BGDDT, ensuring the suitability and convenience for the management of these activities inside and outside schools.
