The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just issued a document guiding university and college admissions in 2026, uniformly applied on the common admission support system.
For high school graduates in 2026, the admission condition for all methods is that the candidate has a total score of 3 exam subjects, the high school graduation exam according to the admission combination (or using the scores of Math, Literature and another exam subject) reaching at least 15 points on a 30-point scale (excluding priority points, bonus points specified in Clause 3, Article 6 of the Regulation).
This floor score level does not apply to candidates who are specially considered for high school graduation and candidates specified in Clause 1, Clause 2 (points a, c, d, đ), Clause 3, Clause 4, Article 8 of the Regulation.
Thus, this year's university admission floor score is 15 points. That is, candidates are only allowed to participate in university admissions when they reach the minimum conditional score threshold of 15/30.
Candidates are allowed to register a maximum of 15 aspirations and arranged in order of priority from highest to lowest, for candidates registering for admission to teacher training majors, training institutions only consider admission for aspirations from 1 to 5. The order of aspirations is decisive for the admission results.
In the official university admission guidance document for 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training announced 19 admission methods such as: Considering high school graduation exam scores (code 100); considering high school transcripts (code 200); direct admission according to admission regulations (code 301); competency assessment, thinking assessment test organized by the training institution itself for admission consideration (code 401)...

The 2026 high school graduation exam will take place on June 10-12, in which on the 11th and 12th, 6 official candidates will take the exam.
Candidates register, adjust, and supplement aspirations from July 2 to 5:00 PM on July 14, 2026. During this period, candidates are allowed to change many times, but must complete before the prescribed deadline.
From July 15 to 5:00 PM on July 21, 2026, candidates pay online admission fees according to the number of registered aspirations.
After having the admission results, all candidates, including direct admission candidates, must confirm online admission before 5:00 PM on August 21, 2026 if they wish to study.
This is a mandatory step to complete the admission process.
The Ministry of Education and Training requests training institutions not to request candidates to confirm enrollment or enroll before August 13, 2026 and not to end enrollment confirmation or end enrollment before 5:00 PM on August 21, 2026.
