3 cases are exempted from all high school graduation exams in 2025
According to Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT, three groups of candidates are exempted from all graduation exams, including: Candidates in the national team competing in international or regional Olympic competitions in cultural fields; Candidates participating in international Olympic/regional competitions in science and technology, culture - arts; People with severe, extremely severe disabilities or those related to exposure to toxic chemicals, having a working capacity reduction of 61% or more.
Some candidates are exempt from the Foreign Language exam in graduation exams such as: Members of the International Olympic team of Foreign Languages, who have a foreign language certificate from level 3 or higher according to the 6 -level capacity frame. Foreigners with Vietnamese certificates from level 3 or more according to the Vietnamese language competency framework will be exempted from Literature exam. History is the subject most candidates choose in the 2025 graduation exam
Of the more than 1.16 million candidates taking the high school graduation exam, nearly 500,000 registered for History, the largest among the elective subjects.
On the morning of April 29, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the number of candidates taking the high school graduation exam for each exam subject. In addition to Math and Literature as two compulsory subjects, candidates tend to choose subjects in the social sciences, similar to recent years.
Of which, History is the most chosen subject with nearly 500,000 registered candidates. Next are Geography (more than 494,000), English (nearly 359,000), Physics (more than 354,000). The remaining subjects are all under 250,000 candidates registered to take the exam. See more...

Canceling the first prize of the national science and technology competition accused of copying
The Ministry of Education and Training has issued a decision to cancel the results and revoke the first prize certificate of the national science and technology research competition for the 2024-2025 school year for the project "Smart waste classification system integrated with artificial intelligence and sound sensors" of students in Hung Yen province. The Hung Yen Department of Education and Training is required to handle responsibilities and report before April 30.

Earlier, the project of Nguyen Sieu High School (Hung Yen) was awarded the first prize but stumbled to reflect the product of engineer Samuel Alexander (Indonesia), published on the hackaday.io platform in 2023. The images in the poster of Vietnamese students were discovered coincided with the diagram, chart and structural image of the original product.
