Universities are not affected much when eliminating early admission
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) will announce the 2025 university admission regulations in February, notably eliminating the early admission method. This means that universities can still use admission methods such as considering academic records, competency assessment test scores, international certificates, etc., but must do it in the same round as considering high school graduation exam scores, except for direct admission according to regulations.

Universities said that eliminating early admission does not greatly affect enrollment plans. Previously, despite early admission, schools still had to wait for the final results from the Ministry of Education and Training. Representatives of the University of Transport and the University of Electricity confirmed that they are not affected by this change and will continue to apply for admission using many other methods in the same period.
Removing early admission may make candidates more worried because they no longer have the opportunity to know the admission results in advance, but it also helps limit the situation of studying absent-mindedly in the final semester. Currently, more than 100 universities have announced enrollment information, but are still waiting for official regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training to decide on specific quota rates. Rushing to register for extra classes, teachers complain about procedures
Recorded at the one-stop department of Thanh Xuan District People's Committee, many teachers had to supplement their documents many times because they required detailed declarations on capital, taxes, premises, fire prevention and fighting... Some teachers considered hiring lawyers to support them to complete the procedures.

Ms. Le Thi Quynh, a former teacher, registered a business household to teach extra classes on behalf of her daughter, because her child is a public school teacher and cannot register herself. The application requires many documents such as teaching certificate, health certificate, preliminary background, and most importantly, the retirement decision of the registered person. She said that opening her own center helps save costs, instead of teaching for hire at centers with a deduction of 40% of income.
The situation of teachers lining up to register business households not only occurs in Thanh Xuan district but also in many other districts in Hanoi. This is to ensure compliance with new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, but also makes many teachers struggle because of the complicated registration process. See more...
