The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training issued Official Letter No. 1678/SGDDT-TCCB on the approval of preferential allowances for teachers who are directly teaching in public educational institutions.
According to Section 1 of Official Letter 1678/SGDDT-TCCB in 2025, the approval of preferential allowances for teachers who are directly teaching in public educational institutions is as follows:
Subjects and levels of preferential allowances
Specialized school/unit:
+ Teachers who are directly teaching specialized classes; schools and classes for the disabled and disabled; boarding schools for ethnic minorities are entitled to a 70% allowance;
+ Teachers who are directly teaching at the school of physical education and sports are entitled to a 50% allowance;
+ Teachers who are directly teaching non-professional classes at specialized schools are entitled to a 30% allowance.
The school is not specialized but has specialized classes:
+ Teachers who are directly teaching specialized subjects of specialized classes are entitled to a 70% allowance;
+ Teachers who are directly teaching non-professional classes are entitled to a 30% allowance.
kindergartens, junior high schools and high schools, high schools, comprehensive technical centers - career guidance, continuing education centers, vocational education centers - continuing education, continuing education centers - career guidance, continuing education centers - vocational training - job introduction, continuing education centers and vocational training:
+ Teachers who are directly teaching in kindergartens are entitled to a 35% allowance;
+ Teachers who are directly teaching in junior high and high schools, high schools, comprehensive technical centers - career guidance, continuing education centers, vocational education centers - continuing education, continuing education centers - career guidance, continuing education centers - vocational training - job introduction, continuing education centers and vocational training receive a 30% allowance.
Thus, teachers who are directly teaching specialized classes; schools and classes for the disabled and disabled; boarding schools for ethnic minorities under specialized schools/units and teachers who are directly teaching specialized subjects of specialized classes under non-specialized schools but with specialized classes will receive a 70% allowance.
