The 2025 Road to Olympia Quarterfinal competition is a special event with the participation of 5 contestants for the first time, instead of 4 as usual.
The audience witnessed breathtaking and emotional moments through the competition of 5 climbers: Tran Bui Bao Khanh (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted), Nguyen Vinh Trong (Tien Giang High School for the Gifted, Dong Thap), Nguyen Bach Hiep (Son Tay High School for the Gifted, Hanoi), Le Duc Minh (Hanoi National University of Foreign Languages High School) and Pham Le Minh (Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted).
Right from the Warm-up section, the contestants entered the competition confidently. Bao Khanh and Bach Hiep both have 40 points, while Le Minh temporarily has 30 points, Vinh Trong and Duc Minh have 20 points respectively. After the General Warm-up, Bao Khanh took the lead with 65 points.
Entering Overcoming obstacles, the competition became more intense when Bao Khanh quickly rang the bell in the last second, giving the correct answer "Yen Tu", thereby raising the score to 115 and continuing to lead. At the end of this part, the scoring positions are: Bao Khanh 115, Le Minh 65, Bach Hiep 60, Vinh Trong 55 and Duc Minh 30.
In the Acceleration section, the change in scale makes the race more attractive. Duc Minh unexpectedly returned, consecutively winning the right to answer the first two questions. In the hydrological question, the three contestants Bach Hiep, Bao Khanh and Le Minh all answered correctly, causing the studio to explode. Duc Minh continued to score all 40 points in the final round, narrowing the gap with the top group. At the end of the competition, Bao Khanh held 190 points, followed by Bach Hiep 165, Duc Minh 150, Le Minh 135 and Vinh Trong 95.
The finishing round witnessed many breakthroughs. Bao Khanh chose the 20 - 30 - 20 point package, answered correctly the 30 point question and ended with 200 points, maintaining the top spot. Bach Hiep later won 175 points thanks to the last question of if there is a hope star. Le Minh strongly broke through when choosing the 30 - 20 - 30 point package and answered all three correctly, temporarily taking the lead with 225 points. Duc Minh played later, could not take advantage of the opportunity and stopped at 130 points. The last person, Vinh Trong, chose a package of 90 points, answered the correct question in the last question and ended with 95 points.
At the end of the match, Tran Bui Bao Khanh excellently won the laurel wreath of the 4th quarter with 270 points, surpassing Pham Le Minh (225 points), Nguyen Bach Hiep (205 points), Le Duc Minh (130 points) and Nguyen Vinh Trong (95 points). Bao Khanh's convincing victory ended the emotional 4th quarter and opened a new journey towards the Year of the Road to Olympia Final season 25.
The final round of Road to Olympia will take place on Sunday morning (October 26, 2025) at the studio of Vietnam Television and 4 locations with the competition of contestants:
