On November 20, 2025, Foreign Trade University held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20 and a ceremony to award the Second Class Labor Medal to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - former Party Secretary, former Principal of the school.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thu Huong - Principal of Foreign Trade University said that each teacher comes to the teaching profession for some reason, whether it is a dream from a young age, or a good fortune to meet on the journey they have gone through, a job of choosing people, ...

Within the framework of the ceremony, the ceremony to award the Second Class Labor Medal - a noble award of the Party and State - to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan took place.
Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thu Huong affirmed that this is not only a recognition from the Party and State for his contributions but also a source of pride for Foreign Trade University and expressed his hope that he will continue to accompany the University on the next development journey.
Since 2015, as the Principal of Foreign Trade University, he has led, directed and implemented many innovative strategies, contributing significantly to the development of the school. Over the past 10 years, the school has implemented comprehensive university autonomy, innovated training programs according to international standards, promoted business connectivity activities, international cooperation, developed an innovation and startup ecosystem, promoted scientific research, focused on human resource development, digital transformation in professional activities, enhanced brands, affirmed the prestige and position of the school on the map of Vietnamese and international higher education.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan started working in the education sector in 1985, holding many positions from lecturer, unit-level manager to education management leader at universities and at the Ministry of Education and Training. In 2015, he was appointed Principal of Foreign Trade University.
After 40 years of working in teaching and management, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan has devoted all his passion to teaching, research and educational management activities and has achieved many remarkable achievements.
In his role as Principal of Foreign Trade University, he has led, directed and implemented many innovative strategies, contributing significantly to the development of the School.
