HUE - Hue let students stay home from school on November 17 due to rising river water and prolonged heavy rain.

Due to the rapid rise in river water levels, in order to ensure the safety of students and teachers, the Department of Education and Training of Hue City has announced that students from schools in the city will be off school on November 17 (Monday).

For areas not affected by floods, schools organize teaching and learning normally.

According to the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station, from November 16 to 18, the area will continue to have heavy to very heavy rain; total rainfall in the plains will be 150 - 300mm, some places over 400mm; mountainous areas will be 200 - 400mm, some places over 500mm.

After November 19, Hue will continue to have rain, scattered moderate rain, some places will have heavy to very heavy rain. Total rainfall from November 16 to 19 in the plains is 200 - 450mm, some places over 600mm; mountainous areas 300 - 600mm, some places over 800mm.
