According to the Ministry of Education and Training, as of 5:00 p.m. on July 28, the time of the online registration portal, the general admission support system of the ministry recorded a total of 849,544 candidates who had entered their university and college admission wishes, equivalent to 73.2% of the number of candidates registered for the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Candidates must pay the fee online through the National Public Service Portal, from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5.
Bank payment channels include: Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Agribank, BIDV, SHB; VPBank, TPBank, MBBank, HDBank.
Payment intermediaries: Other banks via VNPT Money, Vietnam Post, Nganh, Payoo, Napas, HPay.
E-wallets: VNPT Money, Momo, Viettel Money.
Mobile payment channel: VNPT Mobile Money.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates can contact the hotline number of the payment channel or the hotline of the admission system to reflect and receive support. The money deducted from the transaction will be refunded later.
The whole country has 7,615,560 wishes, so on average each candidate registered about 9 wishes.
In previous years, the admission fee was 20,000 VND/osearch.
If the fee is 20,000 VND/wished like every year, the total amount of money that candidates must pay is about 152 billion VND. This year, when the fee is reduced by VND 5,000, the total fee is reduced by about VND 38 billion.

In 2024, the whole country will have 733,000 candidates applying for admission, equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates applying for the high school graduation exam in the same year.
The number of candidates who entered the entrance exam in 2023 and 2022 is more than 660,000 students and more than 616,000 students, accounting for 65.9% and 64.1% respectively of the number of candidates who registered for the high school graduation exam in the same year.
