Bac Ninh - The Ministry of Education and Training coordinates with Nestlé Vietnam to inaugurate the swimming pool and open a model model swimming class at Dong Vuong Elementary School.

On August 1st, at Dong Vuong Elementary School, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Student Sports Association, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province and Nestlé Vietnam (Nestlé MILO brand) organized the inauguration ceremony, handover of the swimming pool and opening of the model swimming class.

The activity is part of a cooperation program between the Ministry of Education and Training and Nestlé Vietnam to promote physical education, improve safe swimming skills, prevent and combat drowning, and create more conditions for students to practice physical training.

According to the Organizing Committee, Vietnam has a dense system of rivers and lakes and is frequently affected by floods. Meanwhile, many children do not have the conditions to access formal swimming classes. Investing in facilities and organizing swimming lessons in schools is expected to help students equip themselves with safety skills, contributing to reducing the risk of drowning.

In 2026, the program will be piloted in some primary schools in Bac Ninh province, including Dong Vuong Primary School. The program includes building a new swimming pool, renovating and upgrading two existing swimming pools, and organizing model swimming classes. In addition to supplementing learning conditions, the model also aims to improve the method of organizing swimming lessons in schools to serve as a basis for replication in localities.

A representative of Nestlé Vietnam said: "Throughout more than 30 years of presence in Vietnam, Nestlé has always been steadfast in its mission of joining hands to improve the quality of life of Vietnamese people.

We expect the pilot swimming model in Bac Ninh to bring useful practical experiences, thereby contributing to spreading appropriate practices so that many localities, schools and organizations can join hands to expand safe swimming learning opportunities for children.

According to Nestlé Vietnam, from 2017 to now, businesses through the Nestlé MILO brand have accompanied many programs to encourage students to exercise, enhance safe swimming skills and prevent and combat drowning, contributing to building a dynamic lifestyle and raising self-protection awareness for children.
