At Nghe An bridge, the ceremony was held at Nghe An Ethnic Boarding High School with the participation of Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Nghia Hieu; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh; and leaders of departments and branches.
The 2025-2026 school year is determined with the theme "Currently, socialize, develop, innovate, connect sustainably, and be ready to enter a new era of development". Nghe An education sector will focus on synchronously implementing major policies of the Party and State, especially fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education associated with digital transformation, development of science - technology and international integration.
This is also the first school year to implement the two-level local government, with many new policies such as: exempting tuition fees for all students from kindergarten to high school; popularizing education for children aged 3-5; making English the second language in schools; teaching Lao language to students in border areas; organizing 2 sessions/day; implementing the Law on Teachers.
In particular, the recent flood season has caused severe damage to the education sector, many schools, teachers' families and students were seriously affected. With the province's strong direction and the efforts of the entire sector to overcome difficulties, educational institutions have quickly overcome the consequences, stabilized schools, prepared facilities, so that all students can open on time in a joyful and exciting atmosphere.
On the eve of the new school year, the Provincial People's Committee has allocated 50 billion VND from the Central and provincial sources to promptly repair and rebuild damaged schools, ensuring safety for teachers and students. The atmosphere of the opening day spread vibrantly from the lowlands to the mountains and border areas, demonstrating the determination of the Nghe An education sector to maintain and promote achievements, creating a foundation for a new year of quality and efficiency.
