This year, Hanoi city has 247 candidates taking the exam. Among them, the number of candidates from Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted accounts for more than half (140 students). Among the 4 specialized high schools in Hanoi, Son Tay Specialized High School has the lowest number of students winning prizes, 9 prizes, including 3 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes.
In the public school sector, Quang Trung High School (Ha Dong) this year also contributed 1 consolation prize.
Especially, in the private school block, this year 3 schools have won national excellent student awards including: Newton Secondary and High School with 9 students participating in the competition, all of which won prizes (7 second prizes, 2 third prizes); Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School has 1 student winning the third prize; Hoang Long High School has 1 student winning the second prize.
