The participants in the class are excellent students who won awards in competitions.
The training course includes 4 classes with a total of 203 students participating in 12 sessions.
In which, two classes for secondary school students with the theme "Explore AI with Python", focusing on basic programming knowledge, simple algorithms, and small AI application projects, helping students get acquainted with technology thinking early.
The two classes for high school students with the theme " programming Python and practical applications" help students access AI models such as machine Learning, data processing, problem-solving thinking, and project presentation skills.
Mr. Lam Dinh Thang - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City said that the city is implementing a strategy for developing artificial intelligence (AI) with the following pillars: issuing policies to attract talent, training human resources, and building digital infrastructure, the AI ecosystem.
In terms of human resource development, the city is focusing on three groups: civil servants, people and students. Especially for students, there are currently two directions for implementation: building a standard teaching program on AI in high schools and organizing specialized training classes for excellent students.
"In-depth content, helps students understand the foundations of artificial intelligence, programming thinking and can develop AI application projects into practice by themselves," Mr. Thang informed.
He said that the city hopes that through the program, students will develop creative thinking, teamwork skills, and at the same time nurture their passion and career orientation with AI. In the long term, this will be a potential young force for the city's information technology and AI fields.
