The training program of the Control and Automation Engineering major is designed smoothly between in-depth theory and multidimensional practice. Students are equipped with knowledge from sensor systems, industrial robotics programming, to AI and IoT ( Internet of Things) applications in smart manufacturing.
The unique highlight is the " smart" learning environment - a place for military discipline with the creative spirit of Civic education. Modern laboratories in robots, electrical engineering, electrical transmissions, electronic biomedical... have become "weapones" to help students rub shoulders with advanced technology.
Dr. Nguyen Phu Dang - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Rocket and Control Engineering - said: "We do not train engineers who can only operate machinery. The goal of the Military Technical Academy is to create technology leaders who are capable of systematic thinking and solving complex problems. 30% of the program duration is for practice and practical projects, which is how we train students in the face of challenges in the labor market".
Graduated with a degree in Control and Automation Engineering, students have a competitive advantage thanks to their solid foundation of knowledge and practical skills. They can take on the role of operations engineers at large technology corporations such as VinFast, Samsung, LG, or become experts in developing AI systems for the "giant" of FPT and Vin AI software.
According to a survey in 2023, 95% of former students in this industry will have jobs within 6 months of graduation with a starting salary of 15-20 million VND/month. This figure is expected to increase as the demand for AI and automation human resources in Vietnam is increasing by 35% per year.

According to the Academy's leaders, restarting the civil training system with the Control and Automation Engineering major from 2025 not only meets the urgent needs of the 4.0 industrial revolution, but also opens up opportunities for the young generation passionate about technology to study in a standard, modern and inspiring environment.
In 2025, the Military Technical Academy will apply 4 flexible admission methods for the civil system. Candidates who won first, second and third prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition in Math, Physics, and Information Technology will be admitted directly. In addition, the priority policy for children of martyrs and war invalids shows the academy's gratitude for the sacrifices for the country.
Meanwhile, the method of considering high school exam scores focuses on the combination of A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and A01 (Math, Physics, English) with the benchmark score for 2024 being 26.5 points.
The tuition fee for the Control and Automation Engineering major is 1.64 million VND/month according to Decree7/2023/ND-CP.
