Strange traffic sign on Cam Lo - La Son expressway has been amended

Quang Tri - The traffic signs regulating the maximum and minimum speed of 50km/h simultaneously on the Cam Lo - La Son expressway have been amended.

On February 6th, Mr. Dang Nguyen Ngoc Linh - Head of Road Management Office 2.5 (Road Management Area 2) said that the construction unit has overcome the unreasonable traffic sign incident on the Cam Lo - La Son expressway section passing through Quang Tri province.

Previously, images recorded at Km29+600 were spread on social networks, showing signs stipulating maximum and minimum speeds of 50km/h. Many traffic participants said that this regulation is confusing and easily makes drivers confused when driving vehicles.

According to Mr. Linh, the cause stemmed from errors in the process of replacing and adjusting the sign system. The above area previously applied a minimum speed of 60km/h, maximum speed of 80km/h. When the road was handed over to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board for expansion, the Traffic Police Department proposed to reduce the maximum speed to 50 km/h to ensure safety.

Also according to Mr. Linh, during the adjustment, the construction unit made a mistake, leading to the installation of incorrect signs. The incident has been handled and corrected since the morning of February 5.

Currently, the minimum speed limit sign of 50km/h at the above location has been pasted and covered to avoid misunderstandings, ensuring the safe and convenient traffic of vehicles on the Cam Lo - La Son expressway.
