On the afternoon of December 30, Road Management Area III informed units in Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces about the opening of National Highway 27C, Khanh Le Pass, Khanh Hoa province.
According to Road Management Area III, from 5:00 p.m. on December 30, the entire Khanh Le Pass area, National Highway 27C, Son Thai Commune, Khanh Vinh District, Khanh Hoa Province, will be officially guaranteed to have two lanes open 24/7.
In case of any traffic-related situation, Road Management Area III will promptly notify relevant agencies and traffic participants.
It is recommended that the Department of Transport of Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong notify transport units to proactively choose a transport plan suitable for the above traffic plan.
Previously, on December 26, the Ministry of Transport issued Decision No. 1637/QD-BGTVT declaring a natural disaster emergency to repair damage to traffic infrastructure on National Highway 27C within the area assigned to the management of Road Management Area III due to the impact of heavy rain from December 9 to December 17.
Road Management Area III is implementing procedures to continue to thoroughly repair the damage to the traffic infrastructure on National Highway 27C, in order to restore the current status of the section as soon as possible.
As Lao Dong reported, due to heavy rain, National Highway 27C, Khanh Le Pass, km43+300 - km43+500/, suffered a serious landslide. After efforts to fix the problem until December 24, traffic through Khanh Le Pass was allowed to operate in two lanes, but due to the complicated weather in the area, to prevent further landslides that could endanger traffic participants, the road was closed to traffic from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the next morning through Khanh Le Pass.
After days of efforts to repair damaged traffic works and clear landslides, with the active coordination and support of relevant agencies in Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces, up to now, the serious landslides on Khanh Le Pass (especially the section Km43+200-Km43+500), National Highway 27C have been repaired, meeting the conditions for 2-lane traffic 24/7.
