On September 27, at the Ba Bau intersection overpass project (Ham Kiem commune, Lam Dong province) connecting National Highway 1 with the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway access road, 4 overpass pillars on both sides were erected. The construction unit has placed signs and barriers to ensure the safety of the area.
According to the Thang Long Project Management Board, the project is an additional item after the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway is put into operation.
To date, the contractor has completed 80% of the bored piles and is implementing bridge abutments and girder casting. The remaining 20% cannot be implemented due to land clearance problems, but Lam Dong province is committed to handing over in October.
About 200 m from the construction site is a workers' camp and an area for arranging machinery and equipment for casting girders, expanding Suoi Sup bridge and constructing bridge piers simultaneously.
At a meeting to review the progress of key transport projects, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh approved that the project must be completed before January 31, 2026 to enhance connectivity and ensure disbursement progress.
The Thang Long Project Management Board has directed the contractor to develop a plan, mobilize human resources and equipment to work day and night, in order to reach the finish line on time.

Ba Bau overpass is built at Km1717 + 513 National Highway 1, intersecting with Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway access road and Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh road.
The project is constructed by 368 Construction Joint Stock Company, with a scale of 4 lanes, with a roundabout under the bridge, expanding the existing Suoi Sup bridge and adding service roads and drainage systems.
At Phan Thiet intersection, a right turn from the expressway is also added, 1.2 km long. The total investment capital is more than 100 billion VND, the construction period is 8 months.

Previously, the authorities assessed the Ba Bau intersection as a traffic conflict point due to overlapping traffic flows.
In July 2023, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province proposed that the Ministry of Construction add an overpass and branch to regulate traffic, ensuring safety and convenience. The XL-05 package started construction in mid-June 2025 to deploy these items.
