The working delegation of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Finance has just worked with the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province on the implementation of the project to invest in the completion of the CT. 07 expressway section Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi according to the public-private partnership (PPP) method.
According to a report by the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, currently, the investor has basically completed the survey of terrain, geology, and hydrology and is implementing the design and seeking opinions from relevant localities and units.
The feasibility study report is expected to be preliminarily completed before March 31, 2026. Environmental impact assessment and forest use conversion dossiers are expected to be completed in early April 2026.
According to the plan, the Project will complete the appraisal and approval steps in April 2026 and commence construction on May 19, 2026.
Previously, Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee approved Phuong Thanh Transport Construction Investment Joint Stock Company as the investor to prepare a feasibility study report with a proposal to use 100% enterprise capital, not using the state budget.
Mr. Nguyen Linh - Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee said that the CT. 07 expressway is of great significance in completing the transportation system of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, while opening up more development space for Thai Nguyen and neighboring localities.
Thai Nguyen province is currently focusing on completing procedures according to regulations, creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule, ensuring quality and efficiency.
The project to invest in the completion of the CT. 07 expressway section Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi has a total length of about 102 km, with a total investment of about 19,000 billion VND.
The road is designed according to expressway standards with a scale of 4 to 6 complete lanes, design speed reaching from 80-100 km/h.
