According to initial information, at around 4:30 p.m. on June 22, a motorcyclist crashed into a fence at the beginning of Vo Chi Cong Street (Hanoi), fell onto the road, causing a traumatic brain injury.
At the time of the collision, Mr. L.V.D (born in 1984) was driving a motorbike (license plate unknown) and suddenly crashed straight into the lane division fence. As soon as the incident occurred, the fence construction unit coordinated with local residents and medical forces to take Mr. D to E Hospital for emergency treatment.
Through inspection, the victim was determined to have a traumatic brain injury and is being actively treated at the hospital.
Upon receiving the report, Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) sent officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate with the authorities to handle the accident.
Previously, the Hanoi Department of Construction coordinated with the City Police to deploy a lane division plan using a hard median strip on Vo Chi Cong and Pham Van Dong streets.
The goal of lane division is to ensure traffic order and safety, reducing lane chaos, especially on large traffic axes with high flow.
However, in recent days, many people have reported that this lane division has caused traffic congestion, the construction unit did not place warning signs, leading to some motorbikes rushing into the lane division fence.
Previously, on the morning of June 21, on Pham Van Dong Street (Hanoi), a young man driving a motorbike also suddenly crashed into a median strip fence.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien - Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) said that when the authorities arrived at the scene, this person had left and was uninjured.
At 9:30 p.m. on June 21, another collision occurred involving a median strip fence on Vo Chi Cong Street (Hanoi).
