Barriers to site clearance
The Cam Ly - Phuoc Thanh road project has a total investment of about 400 billion VND, approved by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee in October 2022. The project stretches from Cam Ly ward - Da Lat to Lang Biang ward - Da Lat 8.9km long.

The project is invested by the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board (now Construction Investment Management Board No. 1 of Lam Dong province). The project started in August 2023. According to the initial plan, the project will be completed by the end of 2024, then extended until the end of 2025.
The road is expected to play a role in connecting traffic, reducing pressure on the main axes, creating motivation for economic and tourism development and forming a ring road according to the general planning of Da Lat urban area.

Real-world records show that many sections of the route are still under construction, even unable to be deployed due to site clearance issues, waiting for land origin identification. Large "blockages" are concentrated in the MangLine village intersection area and the section from Ho Dat Den to Lac Duong Medical Center (Lang Biang ward).
During the project's delay, people living along the route have to bear many consequences. In the rainy season, the road surface is muddy and slippery, and travel and transportation of goods are difficult. In the sunny season, dust flies everywhere, affecting daily life, production and tourism activities.

In addition, many sections of the route are narrowed due to unfinished concrete embankments and taluy construction, posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety, especially at night.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duong (MangLine village, Lang Biang ward) said that on days of heavy rain, the road section being soaked in soil is slippery, making it impossible for vehicles to circulate, and his family has to travel dozens of kilometers to take their children to school.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khai (resident of MangLine village) reflected that delays not only affect daily life but also negatively affect the production, circulation of goods and tourism activities of local people.
In fact, the routes connecting from Van Thanh flower village through the Golden Valley to Lang Biang mountain scenic spot are interrupted, making it difficult for tourist cars to access, reducing the attractiveness of potential destinations.
Prolonged delay
According to the Construction Investment Management Board No. 1 of Lam Dong province, the main reasons for the project's slow progress are problems in site clearance, the failure to approve compensation land prices and the impact of prolonged rainy weather.

In this context, many households have shown a spirit of consensus when voluntarily handing over the site first, with the desire that the project will be completed soon to stabilize their lives.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Deputy Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Lang Biang ward - said that after merging the administrative unit, the locality has actively coordinated with relevant agencies to build and approve land prices as a basis for compensation and site clearance.

Up to now, 49/72 households have been approved and compensated. The households basically agree and have dismantled the ground to serve the construction. Currently, there are still some cases related to forestry land, the locality is continuing to consult functional units to complete procedures. People want to have a complete road soon to facilitate travel and transportation of agricultural products and goods," Mr. Kien said.
Regarding progress, Mr. Tran Van Hiep - Deputy Director of Construction Investment Management Board No. 1 of Lam Dong province said that so far, the project has only reached about 75% of the volume.
It is expected that before the Lunar New Year, the route will be cleared for about 5km from Cam Ly ward connecting to DT722 road (Tung Lam - Suoi Vang lake road); the rest is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
