On the afternoon of November 9, at the parallel road of Ring Road 4 through Hoai Duc district (Hanoi), reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper recorded that the project has had many obvious changes after 15 months of construction.
At the construction site, many machines, workers, and engineers are mobilized to construct project items. The construction site almost never has a moment of silence.
Package No. 9 (Component Project 2.1, construction of parallel road to Hanoi Ring Road 4) is constructed by contractor Vinaconex. The total length of the route is about 21km, passing through 2 districts of Hoai Duc and Dan Phuong.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai - Commander of Package No. 9 - said that after 15 months from the start of construction, the section of the route undertaken by the contractor has reached nearly 40% of its output.
At the construction site, about 200 machines and 300 workers are working with a total of 18 construction teams day and night, speeding up the project's progress.
"Up to now, the construction progress is still on schedule. The contractor is striving to complete the sections with available land in 2025," Mr. Hai affirmed.
According to the commander of package 9, there are many interruptions and "sticky rice" points on the route, including 10 points in Hoai Duc district and 2 points in Dan Phuong district. The constructions blocking the ground are mainly residential areas, factories, underground and above-ground technical infrastructure systems.
"The local site clearance progress is slowing down, potentially affecting the contractor's construction progress," Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai worried.
Regarding the progress of the 57km parallel road project of Ring Road 4 through Hanoi, the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that 4 construction packages have been simultaneously deployed by contractors on the handed over land area with 32 construction points (23 road points, 9 bridge points).
The output to date has reached about 36.86%. Hanoi City is focusing on clearing the remaining sections to hand over to the contractor in 2024. The parallel road of Ring Road 4 through Hanoi is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.
