Dong Thap Electronic Information Portal has just reported that on November 26, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu came to survey the progress of Component Project 2 of Provincial Road Project 864 and the industrial zone in the East of the province.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu came to survey Component Project 2 (section from Long Binh to Den Do). According to the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, in 2025, the project was allocated more than 486 billion VND, of which more than 408 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 84%.
The section from the old My Tho city (now My Phong ward) to Provincial Road 877B and Vam Giong bridge has been completed and put into use with 4 construction packages. The section from Long Binh to Den Do is under construction in 2 packages. In particular, the Den Do - Tan Thanh section is implementing site clearance.
Of which, the section from Long Binh - Den Do has a total length of about 14.79 km. Currently, the progress of the Long Binh to Phuoc Trung section is over 62%; the package from Phuoc Trung to Den Do is over 51%.
Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu requested the investor and contractors during the construction process to ensure the quality and aesthetics of the project; strive to complete the section from Long Binh - Den Do before April 30, 2026, reaching the finish line more than 2 months ahead of schedule; assign Go Cong Dong commune to urgently carry out site clearance work for the Den Do - Tan Thanh section; pay compensation and support to people before the Lunar New Year 2026 to implement construction.
For the same Eastern industry, the Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee oriented departments, branches and localities in exploitation and investment attraction. Mr. Dieu emphasized that it is necessary to select investors with capacity, feasibility for implementation and in accordance with the planning to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province.
