The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2026. This is the sprint time for bidding packages to complete construction volume, compensating for the time affected by weather and material fluctuations.

At package 20, from Km23+00 to Km26+638 and Yen Son intersection, constructed by Cuong Thinh Construction Investment Group, it has now reached more than 72% of the contract value. It is expected that by May 10, two layers of asphalt concrete will be completed.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh - Commander of the construction site said that during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the construction site still arranged about 90 workers and more than 30 machines and equipment to work regularly at the construction site.

At package No. 19, constructed by Truong Son Construction Corporation with a length of more than 12.8km, it currently reaches 90% of the contract value. 4 construction teams and hundreds of equipment, cadres, engineers, and workers stick to the construction site throughout the holidays.
At the Ham Yen bridge construction site at Km49+663, which is a key item under construction package No. 24 constructed by Deo Ca Group, the bridge surface asphalt is currently being prepared. This is the river overpass with the most complex length and structure of the project.
According to the investor's report, for the section passing through Ha Giang (old) province, a total length of 27 km is being implemented with 5 construction packages. Currently, contractors have organized the simultaneous deployment of nearly 40 construction fronts.
Construction progress reached 91.4% of the construction contract value. Site clearance (GPMB), technical infrastructure relocation and resettlement area construction have been completed, and construction materials meet construction requirements.
For the section passing through Tuyen Quang province with a total length of 77 km, 13 construction packages are being implemented. The construction site maintains more than 111 construction fronts, progress reaching 62% of the contract value.
Also according to the investor's assessment, the overall progress of the project is still slow compared to the plan due to previous difficulties in site clearance, unfavorable weather and material price fluctuations.
On April 29, inspecting the progress of the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway project, Mr. Hau A Lenh - Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee requested relevant units to continue to improve their sense of responsibility, not avoid, not push, focus on completely removing each bottleneck, especially site clearance work.
The Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee requested that issues related to legal procedures, design adjustments, and volume arising should be summarized and reported to competent authorities for consideration and timely resolution, avoiding prolonged backlog affecting the overall progress.
Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway (phase 1), belonging to group A project, the total length of the route is over 104km, with a total investment of 13,800 billion VND.
After completion, this expressway will help increase traffic connectivity between Tuyen Quang province and neighboring areas. At the same time, it will promote socio-economic development in the Northern mountainous region.
