On February 9, Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that on the same morning, a positive taluy landslide had just occurred at Km156+750, Ho Chi Minh Road West branch.
The landslide location is about 40m long, 7m wide, the height of the landslide block is estimated at 3.5m, soil and rocks overflowed onto the road surface, causing traffic obstruction.
Immediately after receiving the information, Road Management Office II. 4 directed 483 Joint Stock Company to urgently mobilize vehicles, machinery and personnel to overcome the incident.
At about 10 am on the same day, functional forces proceeded to collect soil and rocks, temporarily clearing one lane, ensuring vehicle traffic through the area.
Currently, the work of monitoring the diễn biến of landslides continues to be deployed to promptly handle if unsafe risks arise, especially in complex weather conditions.
