At the meeting, the progress of some major transport projects was reviewed.
The Van Ha bridge project (connecting Van Ha ward and Kinh Bac ward) has a total capital of nearly 420 billion VND, and has now started construction of bridge piers, drilling, and girder casting; the disbursed value reached more than 109 billion VND. Localities strive to complete the handover of land before May 31 to ensure progress.
The project to renovate and upgrade DT. 291 (total investment of more than 477 billion VND) has started the main bidding package, deploying roadbed excavation. Site clearance is being carried out, and the first phase of site handover is expected before May 30, the next phases will be completed in July and October 2026.
Meanwhile, the project of connecting Van Trung Industrial Park with Quang Chau Industrial Park (more than 443 billion VND) has completed investment preparation procedures but has not been allocated capital in 2026, posing a risk of delay in progress.
The project to upgrade and expand DT. 293 has started construction, contractors are mobilizing manpower and equipment to deploy construction throughout the route. Site clearance work in localities has achieved positive results, some areas have completed inventory, developed compensation plans, and strived to hand over land in May and June 2026.
Opinions at the meeting assessed that the site clearance work was basically implemented synchronously, and many households agreed. However, there are still obstacles related to land origin, compensation policies, resettlement and technical infrastructure relocation.
Concluding the working session, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan emphasized that site clearance is a key task, deciding the progress of projects. Mr. Tuan requested the Project Management Board to conduct a comprehensive review, develop a detailed plan, closely monitor the site, urge contractors to mobilize human resources and equipment; ensure quality, labor safety and project safety.
Localities need to strengthen coordination, promptly remove obstacles, promote propaganda to get people's consensus, and strictly handle cases of non-compliance to ensure the progress of site handover.
Regarding the Van Ha bridge project, provincial leaders requested to complete site handover in May 2026. For the DT. 291 project, it is necessary to choose construction solutions suitable to the terrain and proactively develop disaster prevention plans. For the connecting route of Van Trung Industrial Park - Quang Chau Industrial Park, it is necessary to soon allocate capital for implementation because it plays an important role in attracting investment.
