The 5th Golf Tournament for Traffic Safety in 2024 took place in Ninh Binh (November 3) with the participation of 200 golfers, divided into 3 groups, competing in 18-hole stroke play and results calculated according to the daily Handicap (System 36).
After 6 hours of exciting competition, golfer Hoang Quan excellently won the championship (Best Gross) with a gross score of 72. Meanwhile, the title of Best Net for women was awarded to golfer Le Hong Anh.
The top three positions in the table belong to golfer Duong Cong Ke (table A), Pham Thanh Hoai (table B), Tran Thanh Long (table C).
The organizers also awarded 6 closest-to-the-flag prizes to golfers Le Thanh Tung, Phan Trong Hieu, Tran Ngoc Anh, Can Van Son, Ngo Minh Tuan, and Tran Manh Quyet.
In addition, golfers Mr Jaems, Vu Quy Phan, Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Phan Quoc Hieu received the award for the longest drive. Besides, golfers Nguyen Dai Duong and Tran Tuan Hai received the award for the closest to the line.
Speaking after receiving the championship trophy, golfer Hoang Quan said: "I am very happy to win. This golf tournament is really meaningful as each player will contribute to easing the pain of traffic accidents. I hope the tournament will continue to be maintained and developed further in the future."
Within the framework of the award ceremony, through the National Traffic Safety Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nga - Editor-in-Chief of Giao Thong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee, on behalf of the program, awarded 50 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, to students who are relatives of traffic accident victims and are in difficult circumstances.
In addition, the Joining Hands for Traffic Safety Program also, through the Ninh Binh Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, awarded 50 scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, to students whose relatives were involved in traffic accidents in the province.
During the award gala, the Organizing Committee auctioned a painting called Evolution, raising 150 million VND.
All proceeds from auctions, sponsorships, and donations from individuals, businesses, and golfers after deducting expenses will be transferred by the Organizing Committee to the Joining Hands for Traffic Safety Program.
