In response to the task and requirements of building the country and the Army in the new period, on October 30, 1995 - the Corps Command issued Decision No. 106/BHD on the establishment of the Construction Assembly Enterprise, the predecessor of Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation, under the Military Electronics and Telecommunications Company (now the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group).
In the early days of its establishment, Viettel Construction laid the foundation for the development of telecommunications infrastructure in Vietnam, taking on the task of constructing, manufacturing, installing, repairing, maintaining and repairing works, postal - telecommunications equipment, electronics, information technology inside and outside the Army. At this time, communication is considered a vital fiber connecting sectors and fields on the path of cooperation and development in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Viettel Construction has participated in implementing the mobile information project and the 1A fiber optic cable project; constructing the installation of anten poles for the level 2 military information line of the Information Corps Command. Completing the task of building information works for the Post, Radio and Television sectors in a number of localities, notably the 125m high Central television pole at 43 Nguyen Chi Thanh - Hanoi, these typical works have become an important milestone, marking the maturity of the country's telecommunications industry.

Starting with pioneering steps and steadily moving forward into the world
In 2005, the Construction Institute changed to Viettel Construction Company (now Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation - Viettel Construction). In 2006, the Company's operations were changed, from dependent accounting to independent accounting; The Company's Board of Directors issued a development orientation for the Company in the following year and some years, which is to continue to grasp the internal market of the Corporation, build infrastructure to serve the Telecommunications business network of the Corporation.

In the past 10 years, Viettel Construction's telecommunications infrastructure has been built 3 times more than before 2013; nearly 120,000km of fiber optic cables, with 100% of mainland communes being optically transformed; nearly 60,000 broadcasting stations, covering 98% of the population; 11 million fixed over- wide-band gates, capable of providing services to 80% of households. Since 2017, Viettel Construction has participated in managing and operating the entire Viettel network infrastructure with 52,412 broadcasting stations, 271 thousand km of fiber optic cables, and 8 million FTTH lines. As the Group's key unit in ensuring telecommunications infrastructure to serve important national political events such as: Party Congresses, APEC Summits, US-Korea Summits, festivals, Covid-19 prevention and overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.
Not only successful domestically, Viettel Construction has also reached the international market, participating in the construction of telecommunications and infrastructure works in many countries. Currently, Viettel Construction is the only pioneer in building Viettel infrastructure in 10 foreign markets. Viettel Construction has constructed nearly 73,000 broadcasting stations, nearly 176,000 km of fiber optic cables, nearly 15,000 FTTH lines in Cambodia, Laos, Haiti, Mozambique, East Timor, Peru, Cameroon, Tanzania, Burundi, Myanmar...

In addition to the strategic task of building telecommunications works, Viettel Construction also aims to serve the community. In 2019, the socio-economy continued to grow ~ 7%; the business environment was increasingly improved; the 4.0 revolution strongly affected social life fields, creating opportunities for the expansion of the new production and business lines of the Corporation. Thereby orienting the expansion of business lines outside the Group, realizing the goal of becoming an investor, operator, and supplier of the most smart and efficient projects.
To date, Viettel Construction has been operating mainly in 05 areas of Infrastructure Investment and Lease, Operation, Construction, Solutions and Technical Services, and Information Technology.
With the right business strategy and vision of reaching out, Viettel Construction continuously affirms its position and strength in business. By the end of 2024, Viettel Construction's total assets reached VND 7,106 billion, revenue reached VND 12,666 billion, an increase of VND 1,267.1 billion compared to 2023; Pre-tax profit reached VND 671.8 billion, an increase of VND 35.8 billion compared to 2023.

With outstanding achievements, Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation has received many noble awards from the Party, State and all levels and sectors: Third Class Labor Medal (2010), Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal (2015), First Class Fatherland Protection Medal (2020), and many Emulation Flags from the Group, the Ministry of National Defense and the Government.
