Reuters reported that on the evening of March 5 (local time), a Russian missile hit a hotel in the city of Kryvyi Rih, central Ukraine, killing 4 people and injuring 31 others.
On March 6, local authorities said rescue forces were still searching for people trapped in the rubble.
In a Telegram post, President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences for the four victims and revealed that a group of foreign humanitarian volunteers had taken into the room right before the airstrike. However, they were lucky to survive because they found shelter in time.
Mr Zelensky affirmed that he will continue to put pressure on Russia to end the conflict.
Dnipropetrovsk region governor Serhiy Lysak said 14 of the 31 injured were in critical condition.

Ukrainian Rescue Forces said they had rescued 19 people from the scene. They posted images of rescue teams squeezing through the rubble outside the 5-storey building that was lit up and climbed to search for victims.
Smoke rose from the top of the hotel, almost all of the windows were blown away. A crane was deployed to access the upper floors.
In addition to the hotel, 14 apartment buildings, a post office and 12 stores were also damaged, according to Mr. Lysak.
The Ukrainian military said that Russian forces launched two ballistic missiles and 112 UAVs into Ukraine on the night of March 5. The UAVs also attacked energy infrastructure in the Odesa area, injuring two people.
Another UAV attack took place in the city of Sumy, northeastern Ukraine, killing one person and damaging a private business's warehouse, according to the local prosecutor's office.
The motive for the airstrike is still unclear. The Russian military has not commented on this.
