Vietnam Airports Corporation (acV) has just submitted a plan for distributing accumulated after-tax profits that have not been distributed until the end of 2023, with a total value of more than VND 21,191 billion.
According to the proposal, ACV plans to allocate 30% of the profit equivalent to more than VND 7,132 billion to the development investment fund. The remaining amount, more than VND 14,059 billion, will be used to distribute shares to existing shareholders.
Accordingly, ACV will issue more than 1.4 billion new shares to pay dividends, corresponding to a division rate of 64.58% (shareholders owning 100 shares will receive an additional 64.58 shares). If successfully implemented, ACV's charter capital will increase from VND 21,771 billion to more than VND 35,830 billion.
Issued stocks do not include fund stocks and will not be restricted to transfers. The expected implementation time is in 2025, depending on the Board of Directors' decision to finalize the rights.
Regarding the business results of the first quarter of 2025, ACV recorded revenue of more than VND 6,368 billion, an increase of more than 12% over the same period last year. After deducting capital, the Company's gross profit reached more than VND 4,337 billion, up more than 20% over the first quarter of 2024.
During the period, financial expenses increased sharply, mainly due to the difference in the re-evaluation rate at the end of the period of nearly 227 billion VND. As a result, ACV recorded after-tax profit of VND 3,014 billion in corporate income tax, up only about 6% over the same period last year.
ACV is currently holding a monopoly on providing aviation services to domestic and foreign airlines such as security services, ground services, passenger service, take-off and landing... The Corporation is assigned to manage, coordinate operations and invest in the entire system of 22 airports throughout Vietnam, including 9 international airports and 13 domestic airports.
ACV is focusing resources on the Long Thanh airport project, a project with a total investment of up to 16 billion USD, the largest in Vietnam. According to the First Quarter Financial Report 2025, ACV has poured more than 14,300 billion into this project.
In parallel with Long Thanh airport, ACV also disbursed more than VND 7,500 billion to the T3 passenger terminal project of Tan Son Nhat airport and the T2 passenger terminal expansion project of Noi Bai airport.
As of the trading session on May 13, ACV shares are currently trading at VND97,700/share.
