The Tax Department launched a Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs, providing a digital platform to accompany individuals, households and businesses in fulfilling tax obligations.

Tools to accompany taxpayers

On the morning of August 18 in Hanoi, the Tax Department officially launched the Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs (https://hotroNNT.gdt.gov.vn). This is an online platform to provide training documents, guidance and comprehensive support on tax policies for individuals, business households and businesses.

The portal is part of the administrative reform roadmap and digital transformation of the Tax sector in the spirit of Resolution 68-NQ/TW on private economic development, helping taxpayers quickly, easily understand and conveniently access tax policies.

The three core goals of the Portal are identified as: supporting taxpayers to fulfill their obligations correctly and fully, helping the business community understand technology and choose the right financial management tools, and improving business capacity to contribute more to the national budget.

The structure of the Portal is designed to suit each target group including individuals, business households and enterprises. The content is updated regularly with detailed instructions from business registration, declaration, tax payment to accounting management. Specializations specifically for business households, especially the transition process to enterprises, help users conveniently comply with the law.

In particular, the Portal is integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) through a business consulting chatbot, helping entrepreneurs easily access knowledge about governance, operations, sales and finance. This is a technological highlight, increasing the applicablebility and practical value for taxpayers.

According to Director of the Tax Department Mai Xuan Thanh, the establishment of the Portal is not only a technological solution but also a companion tool, helping individuals and businesses feel secure in production and business, reducing costs and time to fulfill tax obligations.

The Tax Department and MISA start building a platform to support entrepreneurs

Within the framework of the event, the Tax Department and MISA Joint Stock Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Accordingly, the Tax Department plays the role of chairing, orienting the operation and comprehensively managing the Portal, while MISA is in charge of technical consulting, infrastructure, application design, building a digital learning environment, compiling training materials and educational videos.

MISA will also support updating, maintaining and integrating in-depth content on governance, while coordinating research and development of tax policy applications and databases to improve service efficiency for taxpayers.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Director Mai Xuan Thanh emphasized: The announcement of the Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs is a new milestone in the process of converting taxpayer service methods. This is a clear demonstration of the determination of the Tax sector on the journey from management to service, towards a modern, transparent and friendly Tax sector".

On MISA's side, Mr. Lu Thanh Long - Chairman of the Board of Directors said: "The portal will help taxpayers easily access official news, quickly and easily understand, while creating conditions for the business community to improve governance capacity and sustainable development".

Steps to modernize tax management

The implementation of the Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs takes place in the context of the private economic sector increasingly affirming its pillar role. Currently, this group contributes about 50% of GDP, more than 30% of total budget revenue and creates jobs for 82% of workers nationwide.

In recent years, the Tax sector has promoted the application of technology, such as electronic invoices, eTax Mobile integrates VNeID, iCanhan, using citizen identification numbers instead of tax codes, electronic portals for foreign suppliers and e-commerce business. These solutions contribute to improving voluntariness of compliance and transparency in management.

According to Director Mai Xuan Thanh, the Tax sector is transforming from a management model according to functions to management according to subjects, in which tax officials play the role of "servant". The tax authority is shaped as an organization providing public tax services, bringing the most favorable experience to taxpayers.

Basic structure of the Tax Information Portal to support entrepreneurs

In addition to the content of "Policy information and focus", to better understand tax procedures and obligations, business households can learn the content of "For business households" or "For business households to convert to enterprises" ...

Each category includes a system of guide articles, instructions, legal documents and related documents divided into the following contents: business registration, tax registration, preparation and submission of declarations, tax payment, books - documents, ... to help business households easily access information, fully grasp the process, procedures and obligations for tax declaration and payment.

The "Preparing, submitting documents and paying taxes on time" section provides direct links to the electronic tax declaration and payment applications of tax authorities and step-by-step instructions, downloading forms, supporting business households to process quickly. Business households can also refer to information in the "Learn more about business knowledge" category with information on management, operation and development of business households.
