According to the Decision on the establishment of the Steering Committee for implementing the economic growth target for the period 2026 - 2030 in Dong Thap province (signed on March 22, 2026), Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee is the head of the committee.
The Standing Deputy Head is Mr. Tran Van Dung - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; The Deputy Head is Ms. Nguyen Kim Tuyen, Director of the Department of Finance.
The members of the Steering Committee are leaders of provincial departments and agencies and Chairmen of People's Committees of 102 communes and wards.
The Steering Committee has the task of advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in directing the research, development, updating and organization of implementation of economic growth scenarios for each year and quarter; concretizing the goals, targets, and tasks of the province's socio-economic development programs and plans; ensuring the implementation of the growth targets set out in the Provincial Party Committee's Action Program and the Provincial People's Council Resolution on the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2026 – 2030.
Along with that is the task for the Action Program of the Provincial People's Committee to implement the goal of "double-digit" economic growth in the period 2026 - 2030 and continue to grow rapidly and sustainably until 2045.
