World oil prices today
World gasoline and oil prices fluctuated sharply. At the end of yesterday's trading session (April 28), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 3.7% and 3.8% respectively.
By this morning's session, both oil commodities simultaneously turned down. At 7:00 AM (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil price was at 99.25 USD/barrel, down 0.68 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.68%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 99.93 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 99.59 USD/barrel.
Brent oil price was at 103.86 USD/barrel, down 0.40 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.38%. Brent oil price closed the previous trading session at 104.26 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 104.26 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, world oil prices cooled down after information that OPEC+ may face major fluctuations when the UAE - the fourth largest oil producer in the group - announced it would leave the union from May 1.
This unexpected move takes place in the context of the Gulf nation continuously suffering attacks by missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles from Iran for many weeks. Along with that, Tehran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz has seriously limited the oil export capacity of the UAE, directly threatening the country's key economic source of income.
Under normal conditions, information that a major producer member is leaving OPEC+ can be seen as a very negative signal for the oil market, even enough to trigger a strong sell-off wave. However, when the Strait of Hormuz is almost paralyzed, this potential additional supply is also unlikely to enter the market, so oil prices only cool down slightly and are unlikely to fall deeply.

On April 29, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:
The above-mentioned domestic retail gasoline and oil prices were adjusted by the inter-ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on April 23.
Accordingly, the price of E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 100 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline decreased by 162 VND/liter; diesel oil 0.05S decreased by 1,159 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 820 VND/kg.
