To the music of the Army Commemoration Delegation, many passengers sang and raised the national flag in the sky on the occasion of National Day September 2nd. The activity is part of the series of programs "Proud Emotion - Wings of Vietnam" organized by Vietnam Airlines in coordination with relevant units to celebrate the 81st National Day.
Previously, VN245 started at Noi Bai airport as a regular flight. Accompanying the flight were Miss Vietnam 2026 contestants. Vietnam Airlines is currently the official carrier of Miss Vietnam 2026.
The program is organized by Vietnam Airlines in coordination with units under the Ministry of National Defense on the occasion of National Day September 2nd. According to the plan, the Military Training - School Department and the Army Commemoration Delegation are assigned the task of coordinating implementation.
In the middle of the performance, baby Diep An, from Hoang Liet ward (Hanoi), suddenly started singing to the melodies that were playing. Passengers sitting near her also started to harmonize. From the instrumental music of the Military Ceremonial Delegation, the lyrics gradually echoed between the rows of seats.
Mr. Dang Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said: "Every day, Vietnam Airlines flights connect regions and bring Vietnam to the world. As a National Airlines, we hope that on those journeys, passengers not only come to one destination but also can feel the cultural and spiritual values of the country. On National Day, people spontaneously singing familiar melodies is a close way to share that pride.
Many international guests also received flags, watched the performance and then joined in the singing. Miss Vietnam contestants chatted and shared with them about the meaning of National Day September 2nd.
Ms. Mia Sarah, a British passenger, shared: "I didn't think I would experience the Vietnamese National Day atmosphere right on a flight. When people started singing and raising flags, I also wanted to participate. This will be a memorable memory in my trip to Vietnam.
After the performance, Miss Vietnam contestants and Vietnam Airlines flight attendants presented blind box limited edition mascot theme 2.9 to passengers. Conversations and souvenir photos continued as VN245 headed towards Ho Chi Minh City.
Activities on VN245 are part of a series of Vietnam Airlines programs implemented associated with major holidays of the country. Through each journey, the airline wishes to bring cultural features and stories about Vietnam closer to domestic and international passengers.
