Gathering many advantages
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phu - Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Construction - assessed that, unlike before, the locality is now gradually shaping a new position as the "gateway" to industry - logistics of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions.
Khanh Hoa's great advantage lies in the convergence of many types of infrastructure. Deep-water seaports have the ability to receive large tonnage ships, connecting with international shipping routes. Cam Ranh International Airport not only serves tourism but also opens up the possibility of transporting goods, experts and high-tech equipment.
The North-South expressways help connect Khanh Hoa with many major economic centers. The connecting route to the Central Highlands, especially the Buon Ma Thuot - Dak Lak direction, contributes to forming the East-West economic corridor, bringing goods from the highlands to the sea and vice versa.
Along with the regional railway system, Khanh Hoa has an additional advantage to become a logistics, freight and energy transshipment center of the region.
In particular, nuclear power, hydropower and LNG energy complex projects are gradually making Khanh Hoa a national energy center, playing a strategic role in the near future.
According to Mr. Phu, coastal urban space is also forming with the Nha Trang - Cam Lam - Cam Ranh - Phan Rang axis, combining the potential of international-class ecotourism and sea resorts and green and clean agriculture in the semi-arid region of the South, creating motivation for multi-sectoral and multi-regional development.
Besides advantages in nature, infrastructure and tourism, long-standing marine cultural capital also helps Khanh Hoa form experienced human resources in the field of marine economy and seaports.
Attracting investment waves
In the context of increasing production costs in traditional industrial centers such as Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai, many businesses are starting to look for "new lands". Khanh Hoa has emerged thanks to its large land fund, complete infrastructure and open investment attraction policies.
Khanh Hoa is given a system of specific mechanisms and policies by the Central Government and the National Assembly, notably Resolution No. 55/2022/QH15 and Resolution No. 189/2025/QH15. This is an important basis for attracting large capital flows, developing strategic industries and building trust with businesses.
Mr. Pham Hong Diep - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shinec Joint Stock Company - is implementing Ninh Diem 1 Industrial Park, scale 241.5ha, with a total capital of about 2,834 billion VND.
When investing here, we really want to invest quickly, fill up and continue to develop along with major industrial parks across the country. I hope the province will invest in a high-quality education and vocational training system. We will also work with the province to do this," Mr. Diep said.
According to the Management Board of Khanh Hoa Economic and Industrial Zones, in 2025, the locality attracted 24 new projects and adjusted 8 projects, with a total registered capital of 90. 737 billion VND, an increase of 9 times compared to 2024 and 3 times higher than the period 2020 - 2024.
By the end of 2025, Van Phong EZ and IPs will have 193 operating projects, revenue reaching 2.3 billion USD, exports of 1.3 billion USD, budget contribution of 3,000 billion VND and job creation for 37,000 workers.
The occupancy rate in Suoi Dau and Thanh Hai Industrial Parks reached 100%; Ninh Thuy Industrial Park 56.23%; Phuoc Nam 50.22%; Du Long 13.91%. The Management Board also advised on selecting strategic investors for Tu Bong and Dam Mon New Urban Areas, with a total area of 4,009ha and an investment capital of 65,308 billion VND.
In 2026, the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of the province aims to select new investors for industrial parks with a total area of 1,500ha, increase the occupancy rate by 15% in some existing industrial parks and attract at least 230,000 billion VND of new registered capital into Van Phong Economic Zone and industrial parks.
In the first 4 months of 2026, Khanh Hoa attracted 14 non-budget projects with a total capital of more than 13,661 billion VND; newly established 1,123 businesses, an increase of 58.6% compared to the same period.
