Hung Yen - The "Connecting Thailand in Hung Yen in 2025" Forum promotes investment cooperation and strengthens the friendly relationship between Hung Yen and Thai partners.

On July 16, the People's Committee of Hung Yen province coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in Vietnam to organize the Business Forum "Connecting Thailand in Hung Yen in 2025". The forum is one of the outstanding activities within the framework of Thai Week in Hung Yen, taking place from July 16 to 20.

In her opening speech, Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam - said that the forum is a vivid demonstration of the increasingly close connection between the two countries, especially in the field of economy and trade.

The Ambassador emphasized that Hung Yen is a locality with outstanding potential, not only in terms of strategic geographical location, but also in industrial, agricultural, logistics and human resource development. She hopes that through the forum, the business communities of the two countries will establish more connection channels, expand investment cooperation and jointly aim for sustainable development.

Speaking at the forum, Hung Yen Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia emphasized that Hung Yen province is always ready to accompany businesses, creating all favorable conditions, transparency and efficiency for Thai investors to operate successfully and long-term.

With its location in the Northern key economic zone, near Hanoi and major seaports, Hung Yen has many advantages in transportation and supply chain connection. To date, the province has attracted 886 valid FDI projects, with a total registered capital of more than 16 billion USD. Of which, Thai investors have implemented 10 projects, with a total registered capital of 174.4 million USD, creating jobs for about 2,200 workers.

Hung Yen province is promoting the implementation of groups of solutions to improve the investment environment according to the "3 routes" motto: open institutions, smooth infrastructure and smart governance. At the same time, the province has also planned 43 industrial parks with a total area of over 13,500 hectares, of which 18 have been established. Currently, there are about 600 hectares of clean land ready to receive investors.

At the thematic discussion session with the theme "Connecting the supply chain between Thailand and Vietnam", Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Le Huy and leaders of WHA Industrial Development PLC and Hanoi Logistics Association discussed in depth cooperation opportunities in the fields of industry, logistics, infrastructure development and green transformation.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that with the infrastructure of modern and well-planned industrial parks and clusters, along with the development of logistics and planning of land and seaport areas by 2050, Hung Yen aims to become a public-agricultural and logistics linkage center of the Red River Delta.

The forum affirmed the commitment of the Hung Yen provincial government to accompany businesses, promoting the Vietnam - Thailand strategic partnership to become more in-depth, substantial and effective in the new period.
