The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has sent an official dispatch to the Management Board of Bac Ninh Industrial Parks and the Branch of Saigon Telecommunication Technology Joint Stock Company in Bac Ninh (Saigontel).
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province received an Official Dispatch dated January 20 from the Branch of Saigon Telecommunication Technology Joint Stock Company in Bac Ninh regarding the request for industries to attract investment in Dai Dong - Hoan Son Industrial Park.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the Management Board of Industrial Parks to preside over and coordinate with relevant Departments and branches: Consider the proposal of the Branch of Saigon Telecommunication Technology Joint Stock Company in Bac Ninh; at the same time guide and implement the correct order and procedures. Advise and propose contents under the authority of the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province and the People's Committee of the province according to regulations.
Dai Dong - Hoan Son Industrial Park was established under Decision No. 1179/QD-CT of the Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee on July 1, 2005, divided into 2 phases.
Phase 1 started construction in July 2005 with a scale of 272 hectares, total registered investment capital of 553.50 billion VND.
Phase 2 of the project is in the process of site clearance, covering an area of 95.8 hectares in the communes of Hoan Son, Phat Tich and Tri Phuong (Tien Du district). The total investment capital of the project is 1,097 billion VND.
The investor of Dai Dong - Hoan Son Industrial Park project is Saigon Telecommunication Technology Joint Stock Company (Saigontel) - a business of tycoon Dang Thanh Tam. This unit has also invested in about 30 industrial parks nationwide.
Bac Ninh currently has 14 industrial parks in operation. Industrial parks in Bac Ninh currently have nearly 1,300 operating projects, generating more than 80% of the province's industrial production value.
In 2024, FDI attraction of Bac Ninh province will reach 5.04 billion USD, the highest in the country.
This locality aims to become a class I urban area by the end of 2025 and a centrally-run city by the end of 2026.
