On the morning of August 19, Hai Anh - Quang Tri Phong dien Joint Stock Company inaugurated the Hai Anh Wind Power Plant project (Huong Phung and Lao Bao communes, Quang Tri province).
Attending the program were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Major General Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, Ministry of National Defense; Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Nam - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee; and local leaders and people in the area.
Hai Anh wind power plant is one of the key projects in Quang Tri province inaugurated on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August 19th Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Mr. Quan Duy Hai - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hai Anh Phong Anh Power Joint Stock Company said that the project started construction in December 2023, with a capacity of 40 MW with 8 wind power towers, with a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND.
The project is expected to be commercially operational on August 20, 2025. When put into operation, it will provide the national power system with an average annual electricity output of about 118 million kWh.
Thereby, contributing to overcoming the power shortage in the region and the whole country, ensuring energy sources for the socio-economic development of the province and the region. It is expected that the project will generate revenue of more than 200 billion VND/year and pay the local budget about 40 billion VND/year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Nam said that the inauguration ceremony of Hai Anh Wind Power Plant - a meaningful project, in harmony with the joy of the whole country towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.This is a project to concretize the major policies of the Party and State on energy transition, implementing the commitment to net zero emissions by 2050, while contributing to affirming the role and position of Quang Tri - the leading province in renewable energy in the Central region.

It is known that the total capacity of power generation and commercial operation in Quang Tri province as of August 19 is 1,459.8 MW. These include 21 Wind Power Plant Projects with a total capacity of 994.2MW, 11 Hydropower Plant Projects with a total capacity of 181.5MW, 4 Surface Solar Power Plant Projects with a total capacity of 159.2MW (199MWp) and 1,204 rooftop Solar Power Plant systems with a total capacity of 126.7MW.
From the potential and achieved results, the energy industry is identified by Quang Tri province as a breakthrough in development, a priority for socio-economic development of the province with the goal of making Quang Tri an energy center of the Central region.
