On June 23, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee said that the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee had issued a document directing relevant units to conduct an inspection and handle violations in mineral exploitation activities at the clay mine (Gia Hoa commune, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh) of Vissai Ninh Binh Joint Stock Company.

Previously, the Vietnam Geological and Mineral Services Administration issued a document requesting the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province to direct relevant units to conduct an inspection of the exploitation of many types of minerals not included in the license granted to Vissai Ninh Binh Joint Stock Company, at the Gia Hoa commune clay mine, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh.

The document of the Vietnam Geological and Mineral Services Administration clearly stated: Vissai Ninh Binh Joint Stock Company has exploited and used coated soil and gravel, sand and powder in the process of exploiting clay as cement materials at the clay mine. This is a mineral subject that has not been permitted for use by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), and needs to be inspected and considered to handle violations according to regulations.
"The province is currently assigning the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to conduct the inspection but has not yet reported the inspection results" - said a representative of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee.
