On May 7, in Dak Lak province, the 1st Congress of the Dak Lak Logistics and Ports Association, term 2026 - 2030 took place with the participation of provincial leaders, representatives of departments and sectors, and a large number of businesses operating in the fields of logistics, transportation, warehousing and import-export.
This is considered an important milestone, opening a new stage of development for the local logistics industry.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Tien Loi, representative of the Dak Lak Logistics and Ports Association, emphasized that the image of "Dak Lak, a sacred homeland - a strip of dragon land rising from the great forest to the vast ocean" is a symbol of the local aspiration for new development.

According to Mr. Loi, in the context of increasingly deep international economic integration, logistics is no longer just a support service but has become a "strategic soft infrastructure", playing a role in connecting supply chains, leading and improving the competitiveness of the economy.
The establishment of the Association is a necessary and long-term strategic step. The Association will play a role in connecting the business community, protecting members' rights, and at the same time being a bridge between businesses and state management agencies and domestic and foreign markets.
Mr. Do Huu Huy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - said that according to Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050, logistics is identified as one of the important service sectors, playing a role in supporting production, trade, import and export development and value chain linkage.
The province aims to become the center of the Central Highlands region for high-tech agriculture, deep processing industry, trade and logistics services.

According to the Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, with its central location in the Central Highlands region, the locality has the advantage of connecting with the Central Coast, Southeast and East-West economic corridors.
This is a favorable condition for developing a synchronous logistics system including transportation, warehouses, cargo transshipment centers and supply chain support services, contributing to reducing logistics costs, improving the value of goods and competitiveness for local businesses.
Key expressways and national highways being invested in also create momentum to strengthen inter-regional connectivity, connecting the Central Highlands with central seaports and major economic centers of the country.
The province will prioritize attracting investment to develop logistics infrastructure, logistics centers, warehouses, dry ports and large-scale goods transit points to serve agricultural production, processing and export.
Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee requested the Association to focus on building a united and professional organization; proactively participate in proposing mechanisms and policies for logistics infrastructure development; promote digital transformation, application of science and technology and training of high-quality human resources to improve the competitiveness of local businesses.
With the orientation of synchronous infrastructure development and strengthening regional linkages, Dak Lak expects to gradually form a modern logistics ecosystem, becoming an important logistics and cargo transshipment center of the Central Highlands region," Mr. Do Huu Huy emphasized.
Within the framework of the congress, delegates discussed and elected the Executive Committee of term I.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngan - Chairman of the Management Council, Institute of Logistics Technology Consulting and Training was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Association.
Mr. Tran Tien Loi - General Director of Thai Hoa Investment Group Joint Stock Company and Mr. Pham Dong Thanh - Director of An Phuoc Automobile Transport Co., Ltd. were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Association.
