Hoa Lu City (Ninh Binh) is carrying out site clearance at the Dragon Market area to serve the Cha La Bridge construction project and the Nam Song Van Irrigation Complex with a total investment of 600 billion VND.
According to the representative of the Hoa Lu City People's Committee, part of the central building of Dragon Market (area A) and the entire area B will be demolished to serve the project.
In recent days, equipment and machinery have been mobilized to the maximum to demolish the A part of Dragon Market located right next to the Van River for the construction unit to implement the Cha La bridge project.
Before carrying out site clearance, traders in the market area were dismantled along with businesses at risk of being affected, and were temporarily moved to new business locations.
"The demolition is expected to be completed before April 10. During the process of implementing the demolition of part of the building in Zone A of Dragon Market, to ensure the safety of people as well as traders in the market, the People's Committee of Hoa Lu City has directed the City's Site Clearance Board to regularly inspect and supervise the contractor to carry out the demolition work, ensuring safety" - said a representative of the People's Committee of Hoa Lu City.
According to the representative of the Hoa Lu City People's Committee, the Cha La Bridge Construction Project is one of the projects to celebrate the Provincial Party Congress, so the progress must be accelerated, expected to be inaugurated before September 2025.
The Cha La bridge construction project, once completed, will contribute to the gradual synchronous implementation according to the landscape planning of the two banks of the Van River of Hoa Lu city.
The People's Committee of Hoa Lu city is also implementing a project to support businesses at Rong Ninh Binh market to move to new business locations in the city.
