On November 21, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City informed about the organization of the event "Promoting and connecting trade of Ho Chi Minh City OCOP products in 2025", taking place from November 28-30 in Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City ( revolution Traditional House, No. 1 Ba Cu).
The event has about 100 booths participating in displaying and trading OCOP products, typical products, typical of urban areas and provinces. In addition, there are also response activities such as: culinary introduction, culinary performances, cultural and artistic performances, exchanges...; seminar on the topic "Solutions for developing the OCOP value chain, connecting consumption and building the brand of OCOP products in Ho Chi Minh City".
Thereby, honoring, promoting, introducing, and connecting trade of OCOP products and regional products, expanding domestic and international consumption markets. At the same time, support OCOP entities to perfect products, transform digitally, expand sustainable markets; contribute to the development of rural economy, build modern and civilized new rural areas.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, as of September 2025, the whole country has more than 17,300 OCOP products achieving 3 stars or more (belonging to 9,345 OCOP entities). Of which, Ho Chi Minh City alone has 1,006 products (including 786 3-star products and 220 4-star products).
The implementation of the program for one commune with one product in the 2020-2025 period has generally had positive results, but there are still limitations such as: small scale; not standardized according to international standards; communication has not been focused on synchronously and long-term; there is no mechanism to support entities...
In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City will focus on the quality and sustainability of OCOP products with many specific orientations; striving to have over 2,000 OCOP products reaching 3 stars or more in the 2025-2030 period, of which 5-10 OCOP products reach 5 stars.
In which, focusing on the typical strengths of Ho Chi Minh City such as processed foods, drinks, handicrafts...; encouraging the application of technology, using clean, environmentally friendly materials...; supporting entities to upgrade products, focusing on standardizing production processes, improving quality standards...
