The Glory golf course project in Thanh Cong commune, Pho Yen city is located on a campus of nearly 54 hectares invested by MDA G&C Company Limited.
This is an 18-hole golf course sports area with auxiliary services, technical infrastructure works invested in and built synchronously and completely. Started in early 2024, some main items have been completed.
According to the reporter at the project, workers and machinery were mobilized to speed up construction. The grass items have been planted, the functional buildings are gradually being completed.
The shaping of the field surface as well as the lighting system and trees are deployed synchronously.
According to the progress report of MDA G&C Company Limited (investor of Glory Golf Course) up to now, the project has reached about 75% of the items.
Currently, the construction of filling the ground, shaping the golf course, irrigation system, lighting, power source, planting grass, trees to beautify the landscape, internal electric vehicle routes, service works, auxiliary works... are being implemented.
The project has so far completed planting grass in 13/18 holes, and is expected to be able to test the drilling of 9 holes in July 2025, and complete 18 holes in September 2025.
According to the plan, in September 2025, the investor will put into operation phase 1 of the complex, golf course, and resort urban area.
Glory Golf Course is 12 km from Pho Yen City center, more than 30 km from Thai Nguyen City center, and 60 km from Hanoi City center.
The North of the project borders the planned Ring Road 5 of the capital region, the South borders Suoi Lanh Lake. The golf course is not far from Yen Binh Industrial Park (Pho Yen City), which includes Samsung's factory in Thai Nguyen.
When put into operation, Glory Golf Course not only serves the needs of sports training and competition but also brings many socio-economic values to the locality. The project will create jobs for workers, promote the development of accommodation, food and transportation services.
This is also a potential destination to attract tourists inside and outside the province, creating space for urban development in the direction of modernity and sustainability of Thai Nguyen province.
According to the 2021-2030 period planning, with a vision to 2050, Thai Nguyen will develop tourism in the direction of building on the strengths of resort tourism, ecology associated with history, culture, and spirituality.
The province will develop complex functional areas, golf courses and resorts, entertainment and recreation areas (including 13 golf courses located in the cities of Thai Nguyen, Pho Yen, Song Cong and Phu Binh, Dai Tu, Dong Hy districts).
