Accordingly, although the situation of transportation and trading of banned goods, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, infringement of intellectual property rights and food safety violations in the province has been controlled, there are still cases of detection.
The subjects involved in transporting and trading smuggled goods, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringing on intellectual property rights deal with the authorities with sophisticated tricks of scattering, tearing up goods, and disguising them.
During the peak period, a number of businesses selling clothes, shoes, cosmetics, sports equipment... on the central route of Nha Trang and Dam Market were simultaneously closed.
Khanh Hoa Market Management Force has coordinated with the Inspectorate of the Department of Industry and Trade to conduct 74 inspections and discovered 32 violations.
The police force temporarily detained 5,936 products that are cosmetics printed under the Skin Cream brand without invoices or documents proving their legal origin; 34,150 anti-counterfeit stamps printed with the Skin Cream logo; 10,944 cosmetic boxes of all kinds printed with the Skin Cream logo; 1,348 labels of cosmetics printed with the Skin Cream logo at apartments in Nha Trang.
More than 6,000 packs of foreign-branded cigarettes, no invoices or documents, unknown origin, no warning images, no imported cigarette labels were discovered.
On the other hand, the Tax authority has inspected and handled tax violations against 154 enterprises. Thereby, collecting, recovering, refunding late payment and fining more than 15.6 billion VND.
Through inspection of 129 non-public medical and pharmaceutical establishments, cosmetics, and food safety, the authorities discovered 3 establishments in violation.
Of which, 1 smuggling cosmetics business establishment was fined VND6 million and forced to destroy 159 products such as lip balm, masks, deodorants, etc.
According to the authorities, currently the subjects often use disguises of smuggled goods in legal shipments; unclear import-export documents or forgery to deceive the authorities.
Some subjects use technology to forge documents, lines, and product labels, making detection and inspection more difficult.
Taking advantage of e-commerce activities to develop subjects to create many network accounts, run ads, livestream sales, and use famous individuals to make false advertisements about goods.
