The precise putt in the final hole at Thien Duong Golf Course - Legend Valley Country Club (Ninh Binh) helped Nguyen Trong Hoang win the final victory at Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025 - For Vietnamese youth talent with a score of 71 strokes (-1) which ended on November 16.
The champion of the tournament shared about the first time achieving this valuable result: I have participated in this tournament in 2022 and 2023 but have not been successful. This year, I entered the contest with confidence and effort to achieve the best results. On the field, I did not make many mistakes so I completed the result as expected".
When asked if the above result is a remarkable achievement in 2025 of Trong Hoang? The young golfer shared very confidently: "There are many tournaments that I have experienced. Each tournament brings you a very valuable experience, but any athlete will definitely want to win when standing on the green. I am very proud to have achieved the number one position at the Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025. In June this year, he won the 2025 National Amateur Golf Tournament. That is a very valuable result. I am more confident when I get results in each tournament.
Golf professionals understand that to gain confidence on the field, athletes themselves must practice and compete regularly. From the beginning of 2025 to now, Nguyen Trong Hoang has participated in more than 17 tournaments at different levels. Golf has always given us the orientation to compete in which is to stay focused and optimize the ball moves. Therefore, in the past two years, Trong Hoang's technique and qualifications have improved significantly.
Going back in time, in June 2025, Nguyen Trong Hoang won the championship very dramatically at Dalat Palace Golf Club at the 2025 National Amateur Golf Tournament. That was also the first time Nguyen Trong Hoang won this tournament. Those who were present to watch the final round of the tournament live saw Trong Hoang overcome all pressure, playing calmly to win worthyly. The 2025 National Amateur Golf Championship has helped Trong Hoang be officially awarded a place by the Vietnam Golf Association to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.

This year, golfer Nguyen Trong Hoang is 15 years old. General Secretary of the Vietnam Golf Association, Mr. Vu Nguyen, once assessed Trong Hoang as one of the young athletes with professional progress in recent times. Most importantly, Vietnamese golf has generations of young golfers who are capable of developing far in expertise in the future like Trong Hoang, which is extremely valuable, Mr. Vu Nguyen analyzed.
Sharing about his professional journey, Nguyen Trong Hoang affirmed that his family is the most important support for him to come to golf and become an athlete who specializes in golf as at the moment. Trong Hoang's father, Mr. Nguyen Phat Minh, is a golf lover. It was his passion for golf from his father that passed on to his son over time.
At the age of 9, Nguyen Trong Hoang was aware of golf to be ready to carry a stick with Mr. Phat to the training ground. Just like that, this golfer was trained in methodical techniques to perfect his skills and then tried his hand at many tournaments for the youth level and tournaments with high expertise in Vietnam.
My father is the one who shares a lot about golf with me. In each tournament, my father always accompanies me to guide me as well as be a spiritual support to help me overcome the pressure if I have not competed successfully on the field. I am lucky to have the encouragement of my family to have the conditions to practice and compete in golf, Nguyen Trong Hoang expressed.
In 2023, for the first time, Nguyen Trong Hoang was named in the list of the National U15 Golf Team. The player recalled that when he received information that he was a member of the team, the first person to share it was his father.
Trong Hoang added: Golf is a sport that requires persistent training at all times. Every day I practice for many hours with sticks and balls. My father is my companion in every training hour and tournament. I convey the message very correctly that success will come to those who work hard and are not soon satisfied with the results they have".

Nguyen Trong Hoang will have the opportunity to show his full potential to compete in the upcoming 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. I learned many lessons from the Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025. Because I will adjust for the better if I see something that is not good.
There are 20 days left until the 33rd SEA Games, so I am actively preparing to improve the techniques. This is a big competition, it is the first time I have participated and I don't want to miss the opportunity to show my level," Nguyen Trong Hoang shared.
The Vietnamese golf team witnessed the sublimation of the faces that made history at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 such as Nguyen Anh Minh, Le Khanh Hung, Doan Uy after winning 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal and 1 Bronze Medal.
As a member of the 33rd SEA Games, golfer Trong Hoang hopes that: The medal results that the Vietnam Golf Team achieved at the 32nd SEA Games will not be a pressure for the players participating in the 33rd SEA Games.
I see that as the motivation for those competing in Thailand, including me, to continue to strive to achieve medal results for Vietnamese sports. Of course, the result will depend on many factors, but each golfer must have his best preparation.
Vietnamese sports have a generation of many young golfers who are competent and have enough accumulation to develop achievements. Nguyen Trong Hoang is one of those faces. From a boy who has been playing in official golf tournaments since 2019, Nguyen Trong Hoang is now a national player and has participated in the 33rd SEA Games. I still try to compete and learn more from my opponents and the coaches who teach me. Many seniors have had success in their achievements. I see them as people I need to learn a lot from, said the young player.
