As a family meal
On July 24, the Trade Union of Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Noi Bai Industrial Park) coordinated to organize a Trade Union Meal. Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh attended and had a meal with the workers. The Union Meal was also attended by Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President in charge of the Hanoi City Labor Federation.
The Union Meal at Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. was organized for over 4,000 union members and workers. A meal is worth 80,000 VND, of which the grassroots union supports 50,000 VND/meal.
An additional 50,000 VND/meal, workers' meals with fried shrimp, fried chicken thighs, rare beef... on the same day, Truong Xuan Shoe Company Limited (Hanoi) organized a Union Meal with 595 meals for union members and workers. Meals are worth VND33,000/meal, of which the company supports VND15,000, the grassroots union supports VND18,000/meal.
Mr. Tran Huy Hoan, who has worked in the transportation department of Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. for 20 years, was very happy to have a Union Meal. Mr. Hoan said that normally, he eats all the 30,000 VND, but because there is a lot of food at the Union Meal, Mr. Hoan does not eat rice, only food.
Like many other workers, Mr. Hoan hopes to have more and more Union Meals. But above all, Mr. Hoan and his colleagues felt the warm atmosphere of the family with the presence of the leaders of the General Confederation, the leaders and the Company's Trade Union. Not only words of encouragement, sharing and visiting, but also union officials sit at the same table, eating at the same meal as in the same house.
Visiting workers and sharing a Union Meal with workers, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor expressed his delight at the workers' satisfaction with the portion of the food. The Vice President hopes that businesses nationwide will improve meals for workers.
It is known that the Hanoi City Labor Federation has instructed grassroots unions in the city to continue implementing the Union Meal from July 20 to September 2. The Union Meal Program is an activity organized by trade unions at all levels in coordination with unit heads and employers; an opportunity for workers, trade unions and unit and enterprise leaders to share and listen to thoughts and aspirations to create an atmosphere of solidarity and understanding. Thereby creating trust and attachment of union members and workers to the Trade Union organization and enterprises.

All workers enjoy the Union Meal
In 2025, following the success of the 2024 Trade Union Meal program, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor guided trade unions at all levels to organize Trade Union Meals, which will be held from July 20 to September 2. Thereby, it can be seen the special attention to the rights of union members and workers of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that the Trade Union Meal program is an activity organized by trade unions at all levels (upper-level, grassroots level, member grassroots trade unions, departmental trade unions, trade union groups) in coordination with unit heads and employers.
This is an opportunity for workers, trade unions and unit and enterprise leaders to share and listen to their thoughts and aspirations to create an atmosphere of solidarity and understanding, thereby creating trust and attachment of union members and workers to the trade union and enterprise.
In particular, the Union Meal program will create a media highlight to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (18). National Day September 2 and 96 years of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, thereby attracting, gathering and developing union members, closely connecting union members and workers with the Trade Union organization.
In addition, the Union Meal is organized to effectively carry out the work of caring for the material and spiritual life, aiming to build long-term welfare programs for union members and workers.
In fact, in 2024 and at this time in 2025, the Trade Union Meal has demonstrated the mark and role of the Trade Union organization through dialogue and negotiation with employers and co-organized implementation to implement Conclusion No. 03/KL-BCH dated January 18, 2022 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on improving the quality of shift meals for workers.
This is because mid-shift meals and lunch have higher costs than usual through support from the Trade Union organization. The organization of the Union Meal is welcomed by union members, workers and business owners because during the organization stage, they have done a good job of food safety and hygiene; did not greatly affect the production and business activities of enterprises; in accordance with the actual conditions of the industry, locality, unit, enterprise; especially paying attention to units and enterprises with a large number of workers, difficult conditions to ensure that all workers enjoy the Union Meal...
