Based on Plan No. 03/KH-BCD dated April 28, 2025 of the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization on organizing the 13th "Red Journey" Program, honoring the 17th outstanding blood donors of Bac Giang province and organizing the Blood Donation Festival in response to the Red Journey in 2025, the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation issued a document directing and mobilizing cadres, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers to actively participate in the voluntary blood donation movement of Bac Giang province, contributing to overcoming the shortage of blood in the summer of 2025.
Implementing the direction of the Provincial Federation of Labor, on June 9, 2025, at the Provincial Conference Center, the 13th "Red Journey" Program took place with the participation of nearly 1,000 cadres, union members, workers and civil servants of 216 grassroots trade unions in the area.
This is a force from many different units such as the Bac Giang City Labor Federation, the Trade Union of Provincial Party Agencies, the Trade Union of Provincial People's Committees, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks, the Trade Union of Health and Education sectors, as well as grassroots trade unions under the joint units such as electricity, banking, telecommunications, post, gasoline, railways, Dam Ha Bac Company... As a result, the program received 1,072 units of blood (after conversion), reaching 214.4% of the assigned plan.
The amount of blood donated is expected to contribute positively to the treatment and emergency of patients, especially during the peak summer, when blood shortages occur frequently at medical facilities. Thereby, the program continues to spread the noble gesture of " giving each drop of blood, a life stays", affirming the tradition of mutual love of the Vietnamese people, while demonstrating the responsibility and volunteer spirit of union members and workers in Bac Giang province towards the community.
This is the 13th consecutive year that the Provincial Federation of Labor has coordinated to organize and mobilize union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers to participate in voluntary blood donation at the "Red Journey" Program. In the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to direct trade unions at all levels to promote propaganda, raise awareness and sense of responsibility among cadres, union members, workers and civil servants on voluntary blood donation activities, in order to effectively implement the blood donation campaign plan in 2025.
At the 13th "Red Journey" program and the 10th ceremony to honor outstanding blood donors of Bac Giang province, the Provincial Labor Federation and 3 union members were honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in mobilizing and participating in voluntary blood donation.
